The Digital Applications Technical Lead will be responsible for technical leadership on all digital products. This includes but is not limited to the branded marketing sites, ecommerce sites, mobile app, API applications and supporting web applications. This person will represent the technical perspective on digital applications, ensuring that the best decisions are made with our higher level technical strategy/roadmap and direction and our overall application ecosystem in mind.

 

Essential Job Functions

• Manage development vendors for technical applications such as APIs

• Play technical leadership role on team for other applications, attending standups, performing solution and code reviews when needed, providing technical direction that meets our company needs

• Design high level architecture for applications that can then be taken by a development team to break into lower level requirements and implement

• Design integration points using existing API applications or working with new applications as appropriate. As we go through a period of technical evolution, our integrations will be changing and this will be a key responsibility

• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into conceptual and detailed technology solutions that will meet business needs

• Review technical solutions to make sure they are high quality, will be able to meet the needs of the business, will be able to meet high demand and are taking into account our holistic application ecosystem

• Perform testing from a technical lens, looking at the database, checking API responses, ensuring that there are no performance problems etc. Document acceptance criteria for API changes

• Perform day to day project management for technical applications such as APIs

• Maintain, tune and monitor servers within Azure environment. Work with managed services vendor to ensure our environment is meeting our needs efficiently, from both a performance and cost standpoint

• Research technical solutions. Find tools to meet our needs, perform analysis, document recommendations

• Configuration/troubleshooting for all web and mobile applications and associated infrastructure

• Convey important decision points to stakeholders at the right time. Via both written and verbal communication formats

• Technical business analysis to research problems and determine solutions with existing or new applications and databases

• Most importantly, ensure systems are delivered with the guest and employee experience at top of mind

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably concentrating on IT or Marketing

• 8+ years full stack software development experience, with at least 4 years in a Microsoft stack (.NET, C#, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, vue.js)

• 2+ years leading technical decisions for projects

• 2+ years working with enterprise content management systems (Sitecore a plus)

• 2+ years technical project management for integration applications such as APIs

• 2+ years technical design for enterprise system integrations

• 2+ years working with enterprise level content management systems

• Experience monitoring, maintaining and tuning infrastructure in an Azure environment

• Experience migrating legacy systems to modern solutions

• Experience with mobile app development a plus, including Xamarin, Android native and iOS native dev

• Experience with CRM systems preferred

• Experience with ecommerce systems such as NopCommerce, UCommerce, Microsoft Retail and other commerce tools preferred

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred
