Your Challenge: We are looking for a Mid to Senior Dev/Ops Engineer that will play a key role in maintaining and improving our current solution. Our product is rapidly scaling and you will help identify and implement changes to maintain our operations and delivery as we grow. This is a very hands-on role which will involve working with our engineering and operations departments, building and maintaining Development, Test and Production environments.

 

The things that you will tackle:

  • Write scripts to automate operations and server management
  • Build and maintain infrastructure on cloud resources
  • Maintain and enhance the Continuous Integration & Deployment environment
  • Maintain QA and Production configuration using automation tools
  • Build and maintain operations tools for monitoring, notifications, trending, and analysis.
  • Define, create, test, and execute operations procedures.
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • Install OS updates/hotfixes/patches/service packs
  • Work with Application Developers to automate builds and software deployments to QA & production
  • Document current and future configuration processes and policies

What you will need to be successful:

  • 3+ years of DevOps experience plus a minimum of 1+ year working with Azure/AWS
  • 2+ years of experience with building and maintaining production environments in large-scale consumer-facing enterprises.
  • 1+ years of proven hands on experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, etc.)
  • Experience administering web services on Linux using Ruby or Python 
  • Fluent in AWS CLI and Azure CLI in Linux and Windows
  • Experience with source control tools such as GIT
  • Experience with high availability and scalability in AWS or other cloud technologies
  • Fluent in Linux (RedHat/CentOS/Amazon) administration & shell scripting (BASH)
  • Production experience developing, configuring and supporting monitoring systems, alerting and analytics (e.g., New Relic, OpManager, AppD etc)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins preferred)
  • Proficient in creating technical documentation & architectural diagrams
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Key characteristics of the right individual are a desire and passion to take-on a broad set of responsibilities. This job will require the individual to rapidly understand our technology and work with multiple partners.
  • Strong problem resolution and troubleshooting skills
