The Senior Business Systems Analyst works with all areas of the organization, identifying opportunities for improvement in operations and processes. This highly collaborative position interacts with all users and subject matter experts to understand and seek solutions to roadblocks and problem areas.  This includes analyzing business needs, documenting requirements and, in collaboration with other members of IT, designing technical solutions. The Business Systems Analyst participates in the testing of solutions and ensures that systems are properly integrated and implemented, including creating system and user documentation, and training.  The individual selected for this position is expected to go above the status quo, work both collaboratively and independently, and provide experience-based guidance and training to Business Analysts. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will play a key role in moving Toastmasters forward through the disciplined use of agile best practices, up to date knowledge of systems and technology, and outstanding customer service delivery. 

Description

  • Supports multiple agile teams to coordinate dependencies, define and document needs between systems and teams, generate user stories, and track and report progress.
  • Acts as requirements lead for medium to large projects, providing guidance and training to business analysts.
  • Drafts and analyzes end user workflows, identifying unarticulated needs where applicable.
  • Partners with business users to identify functional requirements and translates them independently to technical requirements.
  • Collaborates with development leads and/or vendors to translate system requirements into application integration design documentation.
  • Works with product owners, development leads, and business owners to understand and document the business logic and process flows of integrations.
  • Acts as a liaison between department end-users, application developers, managements and other internal personnel in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems to ensure optimal operational performance
  • Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new or enhanced system functionality
  • Supports Quality Assurance engineers in translating business requirements to test requirements.
  • Creates the documentation framework to support business process and systems analysis, as well as technical development.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst with a track record of delivering business process requirements and use cases.
  • Experience in data and system integration projects.
  • Solid experience and understanding of Agile Scrum in developing use cases, use case model, supplementary requirements, and business rules.
  • Detail-oriented, self-driven and diligent professional.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to translate technical complexities to key business stakeholders and communicate consistent vision.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps and experience in creating Epics, Feature, Stories and Tasks.
  • Full life cycle experience in software development including project design, business requirements, functional requirements, development, testing and implementation.
  • Ability to learn and understand all areas of operations within the organization.
  • Strong leadership ability in independently analyzing, defining and documenting business system process improvements and integrated system requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365, LucidChart or Visio, Outlook, and other business process documentation tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management or Computer Science (or similar) required
  • 7+ years of experience in conducting business process and systems analysis, as well as systems design and documentation
  • Experience with SAFe methodologies and framework a big plus
  • Experience with not-for-profit associations a plus

This position pays $110,000/year. This position is exempt.

This role will be working full-time in our office located at 9127 S. Jamaica St. Englewood, CO 80112. You will be working from home while the office is closed due to COVID-19. Permanent work authorization required.
