Job Summary:

As a DevOps Engineer at DispatchHealth you will be expected to help design and implement solutions to meet business needs while following best practices around security, cloud operations, and infrastructure definition/evolution. The ideal candidate will have or demonstrate a strong desire to learn end to end development lifecycle skills; experience with infrastructure; ability to understand how to develop considering scale, complexity, compliance, security and manage risk. Cloud administration, Linux and Windows system administration, network administration, SRE and devops skills will all be used.

Overview of the responsibilities:

• Design and Implement cloud infrastructure for SaaS project
• Ensure that implementation meets security, compliance, and performance requirements
• Produce well-written, appropriate documentation
• Work independently on complex tasks while coordinating and working with a team toward shared goals
• Assist in gathering design requirements
• Integrate existing DispatchHealth solutions into cloud-ready products
• Support the continued evolution and improvement of our Agile practices
• Ensure systems are secure and updated

• Configuration Management platforms: Puppet or Ansible or Chef

Requirements:

• Experience designing and deploying production-grade software

• Experience with object design

• Experience writing distributed systems

• Experience scripting with JavaScript, Python, or Bash

• Experience with web application development using HTML, CSS, and React

• Experience with data transport using XML and JSON

• Experience developing and debugging software on a network stack IP, TCP, HTTP, REST

• Experience using PostGres

• Understanding on how to scale server-side applications depending on load

• Demonstrated application of software engineering best practices

• Experience working within Agile principals

• Excellent communication skills

• Willing to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution
