Job Duties and Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer you will own the development, implementation, testing, and integration for the next-generation, automated, cloud-native solutions on public cloud. You will be hands on with the software's life-cycle management and including deployment and optimization in coordination with the DevOps roadmap
In this role you will:

  • Define and implement Everything as Code
  • Implementing various development, testing, and automation tools to support optimization of the network
  • Setting up tools and required infrastructure
  • Review, verify, and validate the software code developed with an operational focus
  • Leverage data to drive intelligence, repeatable, and fact-based processes into platforms and solutions
  • Implement troubleshooting techniques and supporting the resolution of software bugs
  • Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
  • Encouraging and building automated processes across all solutions
  • Coordination and communication within the team and with customers


Skills, Experience and Requirements
A successful DevOps Engineer will have the following at a minimum:

  • Have a 4-year college degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
  • Five or more, combined years of professional experience developing in software defined networks and/or public cloud
  • Strong hands-on technical skills and the demonstrated ability to work across disparate groups including sales, operations, product management, and engineering
  • Organized, goal-oriented technical leader to lead, follow, and effectively collaborate with knowledgeable Architecture peers and business partners
  • Must have experience and solid understanding of Kubernetes, Dockers and VMs
  • Must have experience in cloud platforms, preferred to have experience with VMware and at least one Public Cloud Provider
  • Should have excellent understanding and experience with open source PaaS components
  • Experience in delivering large systems on a tight timeline
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and cooperate in teams, projects and networks to achieve results


Preferred additional experience:

  • Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred
  • Industry certifications on DevOps, Cloud Platforms, Kubernetes are an asset
  • Proven proficiencies of Ruby or Python
  • A deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g. IPSEC, BGP, QoS, MPLS)


Salary Range
Compensation: $75,600.00/Year - $108,000.00/Year
