IntelePeer is seeking an experienced, Development Support Engineer to join our growing Product team.
In this role you will be tasked with to assist managing more than 1000 servers cross multiple datacenters. You will work with other team members to provide reliable system infrastructure via internal and public cloud providers (AWS, IBM, GCP).
We are looking for a quick-starter, fast-learner, team player to grow the domain knowledge and contribute to the success of this company.
Responsibilities

  • Provide reliable system infrastructure via internal cloud or public cloud
  • Work with other teams to satisfy future infrastructure needs
  • Planning system maintenance to compliance with the security advisory
  • Provide well-written document via Jira, confluence and README file within git repo.
  • Maintain existing chef cookbook, implement new chef cookbook for additional system components.
  • Utilize auditing tools to ensure accurate monitoring of all systems, services, and processes.
  • Draft and promote standards and best practices among different team to archive better product, reliability, compatibility, better performance.
  • Be available for support of highly available systems on a rotational basis (on-call rotation).
  • Planning hardware refresh and maintenance where necessary
  • Acting as technical and managerial escalation points for NOC and HelpDesk,
  • Monitoring ticket queues for change control, incidents, and requests
  • Ability to Travel for IT Infrastructure installation and maintenance.


REPORTS TO: Manger of DevOps
Qualifications:

  • Development Support Engineer(s) Day to Day Responsibilities are to work both independently and collaboratively with your team to troubleshoot and resolve highly technical issues that customers encounter while using our Atmosphere CPaaS platform. You'll partner cross-functionally with our NOC, development & engineering teams to drive feedback, improve internal & external tooling, launch new products & features, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical support requests created by our customers and escalated from our NOC for our Atmosphere CPaaS offerings.
  • Contributing to internal documentation that provides your team with the resources they need to perform in their role and external documentation.
  • Experience developing, deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting NodeJS, Python, C+, and PHP applications in production.
  • Knowledge of the CI/CD pipeline and GitHub repositories, actions, and deployment workflows.
  • Experience troubleshooting one or more database engines: MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB
  • Understanding of APIs and the ability to trouble shoot.
  • Familiarity with Asterisk or FreeSWITCH is a plus.
  • Strong network programming skills (TCP/IP / sockets) preferred
  • Strong ability to work effectively within a small technical team
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Voice and Messaging platforms or CPaaS environments is a plus.
  • 2+ Years practical experience or equivalent education is required.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • MBA or master's degree in related field preferred
  • Formal management and leadership training preferred

Compensation

  • The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in Colorado is generally within the range of $100,000 - 115,000 for annual base salary plus. Employees are eligible for additional discretionary bonuses and commissions pursuant to the Company's commission plan. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
