Alteryx is searching for a Desktop Engineer. This position is remote-friendly.
Position Overview:
As a Desktop Engineer, this position would be primarily responsible for delivering IT endpoint platforms and client applications supporting both Windows and Mac environments, identifying solutions, and providing project assistance, to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department.

  • Drive efficiencies for the enterprise through the advancement and delivery of the endpoint platforms and client applications.
  • Collaboration in a team environment is required, as is the ability to partner with other related areas of the organization including security, network, infrastructure, etc.


Primary Responsibilities:
Own the endpoint engineering process for multiple operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh, and VDI (Amazon Workspaces)

  • Utilize available tools such as InTune, Active Directory/GPMC, JAMF, Windows AutoPilot, among others, to perform complex hardware and software maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.
  • Development and management of Windows OS images, including hardware driver settings for various manufacturers.
  • Develop, deploy, and perform compatibility testing of complex application deployments and packages and provide remediation assistance and guidance to other IT staff as needed.
  • Evaluate and maintain existing standards for user profile management.
  • Work closely with 3rd party vendor/partner technologies to ensure consistency of the end-user experience between platforms, while optimizing system performance and reliability.
  • Possess in-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft O365 suite, including but not limited to the collaboration tools Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for multiple technologies or processes within the endpoint discipline.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to the technical direction of Alteryx
  • Evaluate newly introduced and emerging endpoint technologies for their potential introduction into Alteryx's technology footprint.
  • Contribute to the annual budget process by documenting technical justification for items aligning to the IT roadmap and general review of budget baselines.
  • Act as a technical project manager to coordinate endpoint infrastructure and organizational initiatives.
  • Track and resolve complex functionality and compatibility issues with little guidance and/or documentation and escalate issues and/or requests with our technology partners and manufacturers, as necessary.


Required Skills:

  • Experience supporting and maintaining Windows and Mac end user devices - 3+ years
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune & Windows AutoPilot
  • Experience with JAMF; Jamf certifications is a plus
  • Experience with Amazon Workspaces


Valued Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft AD & Group Policy
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Experience with Parallels Desktop and/or VMware Fusion
  • Experience with Microsoft End Point Manager
  • Experience with Microsoft MDT


Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, Colorado is $53,900 - $86,200. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
