At Intelivideo (IV), our video platform enables video content producers to truly own, market and manage their own subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) offerings.  We take the technology hurdle out of the equation for our clients and allow them to focus on the creation and promotion of great content while generating high margin revenue with that content.

Who We Want To Hire

We’re hiring a dedicated, experienced, and motivated Platform Engineer to continue building our core platform which supports the rest of the client and customer experiences.  We believed that our clients’ video business depend on a reliable and performant platform to grow their businesses and we need your help to make that possible.

What To Expect From The Role

As part of the engineering team, you will work on the platform which enables our apps, websites, payment processing, and everything else that allows our clients and their customers to have the best experience possible.  We're looking for a self-motivated engineer who has a real passion for building and scaling infrastructure using technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Java, GO, AWS Lambda, Redis, and machine learning. Every engineer has input into our product process and will have a real impact as part of a small, nimble team.

Here is what you’ll be doing:

• Work with a dynamic cross-functional team to build the best user experiences in the video on demand industry

• Take advantage of Amazon’s AWS infrastructure and advanced services daily

• Implement serverless architectures

• Performance is key, help identify bottlenecks and come up with strategies to remove them

• Work with usage big data sets to provide and predict what the user wants next

• Write tests and perform code reviews to ensure that we're shipping reliable, readable, and reusable code

• Ship production code daily

• Research and implement technology solutions for reliable, scalable, high-performing services

Here is what we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 2+ years of experience in software development

• Strong experience across relevant technologies including Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.

• Experience working with MySQL, Postgres, or other RDBMS

• Experience using source control systems including Git

• Experience in object-oriented software design, development, and architectural principles

Nice to have:

• Building robust REST APIs for internal or external applications

• Ruby on Rails

• Experience with AWS technologies such as DynamoDB, Kinesis, Elastic MapReduce, or Lambda

• Big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, etc.

• Machine learning

• Automated testing using tools such as RSpec or JUnit

• Scrum/Agile development
