About the Team VIZIO's SmartCast DevOps team is seeking a Senior Site Reliablity Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the day to day activities to ensure stability and reliability of the SmartCast properties including continuous improvement in overall operation stability through process redesign, automation and containerized; management of third party tools including cloud services; release coordination with core IT and Delivery teams; and production support. This role will work closely to ensure the support of the solution delivery, development and testing teams for SmartCast. What You Will Do

  • Drive productivity by creating tools to empower product to decrease cycle time
  • Templatize repositories and build/deployment pipelines for automated cloud hosting
  • Maintain AWS hosting platform and security for EC2 / Kubernetes
  • Maintain and develop CI practices for automated builds
  • Maintain multiple interconnected AWS accounts, networks and VPCs
  • System provisioning and product release automation

About You

  • Experience working as a DevOps and/or Cloud Engineer, preferably in a mixed environment (public/private cloud)
  • Minimum 6 years of development experience, at least 2 years in a commercial environment for a consumer-facing product.
  • Experience with AWS Account structure best practices, Networking, and VPCs
  • Experience with Hashicorp Vault or relevant secrets management
  • Experience with Jenkins Pipelines
  • Strong understanding of Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Experience with versioned Infrastructure as Code
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes and containerization
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
