Summary of Position:

A Developer is responsible for software development on various assigned projects working with an agile team to create integrations and applications using the Microsoft stack.


Duties & Responsibilities:

· Develop, unit test, and document code

· Use Jira to document progress

· Follow development style guide and coding standards

· Solve challenging development problems

· Be an active participant and contributor to the agile process, including participating in daily standup meetings, issue grooming sessions, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, etc.

· Identify opportunities for improvement in process and documentation

· Continue to work on improving development skills and process through organized and self-paced training

· Participate in client-facing meetings when necessary

· Attend both Stack company and team meetings

 

A “Typical Day”:

· Work on Jira issues from sprint backlog

· Manage code branches and commits

· After unit testing, push completed work to QA

· Assist in bug escalation when necessary

· Log time spent

· Head home satisfied with another successful day


Core Requirements/Development Skills:

· Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a C#, ASP.NET, WPF, Javascript, React

· Experience in Visual Studio

· Understanding of Object Oriented Programming and SOLID principles

· Experience with MVVM and MVC frameworks

· Understanding of database creation and manipulation (SQLite, MySQL, SQL Server)

· Experience with structured data (XML, JSON)

· Experience with source control using GIT

· Experience in UI/UX a plus

· Experience with the ConnectWise suite of products a major plus


Soft Skills Requirements:

· Agile software development process

· Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously

· Strong ability to work collaboratively and positively with a team

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Problem-solving abilities and the ability to meet reasonable deadlines

· Enthusiastic desire to develop professionally

· Ability to self-manage and work with little supervision

· Willingness to learn

Measurements and Accountability:

· Complete development issues/tasks within estimates

· Hit sprint/development deadlines on a consistent basis

· 100% compliance with note and time entry requirements

· Take ownership of difficult issues and approach the group for help

· Taking time off in accordance with the employee manual​
