locai Solutions is building the next generation SaaS platform for grocery retailers.  Our mission is to empower grocers to fulfill their passion for food, by providing them with a digital suite of first class software solutions. We are built on top of an AWS based microservices architecture using Node.js, Typescript and F#. We are looking to grow our technology team with software engineers who are looking for a challenge and want to be at the forefront of creating new digital products.

More specifically we are looking for Software Engineers with experience in one or more of the following:

• Building out robust and well documented API endpoints that scale well

• Managing data pipelines, ranging from eCommerce catalogue data (import, export, transform) to analytics data

• High affinity with infrastructure, security and monitoring/alerting on production operations.

What Skills Are We Looking For?

You are a software developer with strong experience in building scalable multi-tier cloud based applications. You understand the complexities around microservices and their deployments.

• Strong Javascript and Node.js knowledge. Experience with Typescript, Webpack, ExpressJS, serverless, ....

• Experience with F# is a plus! We have some F# services and may continue to use its usefulness for data management.

• Ability to create developer friendly API’s and generate documentation.

• Experience with Node.js/Javascript in a production environment.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for deployment, and data pipelines. We use both Jenkins and CircleCi.

• Strong understanding of  databases (relational, non relational, etc …) and data management.. Strong Postgres knowledge is definitely something we value a lot.

• You believe in and are able to practice test driven development.

• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and product owners.

• Prior experience in a role like this is a plus.
