As Software Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your technical skills, regularly ship to production, work collaboratively with designers and product managers, and make a positive impact on the athletes and coaches we serve. You’ll be surrounded by a team of engineers who value iterative development, automated testing, and high quality code.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Write maintainable and durable code with few defects
- Thrive in an iterative and collaborative engineering environment. We pushed +450 production releases in 2019 and are on pace for about 1,000 in 2020.
- Enthusiastically pair with other engineers to develop full-stack solutions for our web and mobile apps
- Clean and refactor code with the help of automated tests
What Some of Our Projects Look Like:
- Building exciting new analytics and performance tracking features for athletes and coaches
- Refactoring API code for testability and maintainability
- Continuously improving platform security
- Designing and developing resilient and scalable systems for projects like notification processing, marketplace transactions, and workout logging
- Developing innovative video solutions for athletes and coaches
- Learning about and implementing machine learning to improve user experience

- Video screen with our director of engineering and a senior developer
- Final interview with relevant team members and stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years of software engineering experience
- Backend technical skills: experience in PHP, Ruby, Python, .NET, Java, or a similar language preferred, with solid knowledge of object oriented programming
- Database Systems Skills: experience with a relational database system and SQL
