ROLE OVERVIEW

The primary responsibilities will include design, manufacture, integration, and testing of custom circuit boards and embedded system components.

Must Have:

  • 5+ years experience including analog and digital PCB design for aerospace industry
  • Experience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting prototype circuit designs and PCB assemblies
  • Working knowledge of sensors and flight test instrumentation, analog and digital signals
  • Experience integrating COTS components including navigation, air data, and communication equipment into airframes
  • Experience developing and refining system level requirements from formal and informal sources
  • Knowledge of air vehicle systems, systems integration, engineering design, the drawing release process and subsystems/component qualification
  • Ability to read and create wiring diagrams and troubleshoot wiring on test bench or on vehicle
  • Excellent communication skills — able to partner internally and research and interact with potential suppliers

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with manned experimental aircraft flight testing
  • Experience integrating COTS components including navigation, air data, and communication equipment into airframes
  • Experience developing software on microcontrollers
  • Exposure to a variety of aircraft hardware development standards

Degrees and Certification:

  • An undergraduate degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science is required
  • A master’s degree in Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • Pilot's license and/or Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) license is a strong plus
