About the Role:

This is one of the first few hires in newly formed automation team at VIZIO where the primary responsibility would be to write/execute/build automation frameworks and run scripts against different layers of software via hardware components. Attention to detail and being imaginative/innovative/outside of box thinking are critical requirements of the role, as is a highly communicative, amicable, team focused and mature demeanor. What you will do:

  • Build robust and stable test automation frameworks from scratch
  • Perform validation and exploratory/manual test coverage and write automation scripts from those manual test cases
  • Integrate automated test suites in CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins)
  • Contributing to test automation infrastructure by writing and augmenting test scripts and/or test libraries
  • Develop automation scripts for device, middle layer platform, API based services/applications as well as end to end testing
  • Measure and report/document test coverage
  • Operate in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Provide training sessions to cross functional teams regarding automation test suites.

About You:

  • 5+ year working experience in object-oriented design methodology and testing (manual and automated.)
  • 3+ year experience with building test automation frameworks for devices or web-based applications.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science or similar field of study.
  • Excellent critical analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with Python/Java, REST API, Selenium WebDriver, Postman, SQL or any other similar tools and languages.
  • Experience testing projects written in Python, C, Java.
  • Experience with system integration testing, end-to-end testing, databases, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Linux OS and familiarity with commands.
  • Nice to have: AWS experience.
