Your Mission

As an Associate Engineer at Pie Insurance, you’ll be a key member within our engineering team responsible for delivering platforms and applications that are transforming the commercial insurance market.

How You’ll Do It

As an Associate Engineer, you will work side by side with other world class engineers to hone your coding skills. You must be comfortable refactoring someone else’s code as you are writing new code. Most importantly, you must have a desire to learn and improve yourself as a software professional. This is a startup environment, so you’ll need to be adaptable as priorities change.

Whether It’s Right for You

You will be joining our team in Downtown Denver, specifically LoDo within walking distance from Union Station. Everything we do is connected: we need you to be a strong communicator and a doer. This opportunity is an entry-level position.

We expect you'll have completed your degree in computer science. Individuals who have completed boot camps will also be considered. Candidates coming from a boot camp would ideally have worked in other industries before moving to software development and completed a project as part of the boot camp. Pie Insurance is an organization that will invest in your future success

The Right Stuff

  • 2-years or less experience in software engineering with completed requisite education.
  • Solid coding skills. Ideally you would have experience in C# and .NET Core, but any OO language will be accepted.
  • Have an understanding of Agile/SCRUM development methodology.
  • Incredible attention to detail which leads to well-documented code.
  • Must be a team player

Working at Pie

  • You expect to challenge others and to be challenged.
  • Your communication style is candid and compassionate.
  • You share your knowledge. We aren’t here to compete with one another; we are in it to win it, together.
  • You share our passion for the small business community.
