Why You Matter

We're looking for an Associate Software Engineer who will contribute to the development and validation of the end-to-end ETL process from numerous Carbon Black cloud systems into our backend Analytics environment. You'll join a talented team of developers using a wide variety of new and cool technologies to solve big problems. You'll build solutions that our customers are clamoring for, that will help our customers prevent the next front page security breach. You'll make a difference and help us win a huge market.

What You'll Do

  • Bring a devops mentality, taking responsibility for portions of the ETL / stream processing for our backend analytic environment from end-to-end
  • Ensure data quality and availability for ongoing analytics projects through stable ETL processes
  • Build out resilient and scalable components for our stream processing machinery
  • Design, implement and validate the monitoring and alerting infrastructure as necessary to ensure uninterrupted and performance data flow
  • Deliver high quality code along with the rest of the dev team
  • Analyze performance of services and optimize / refactor as needed
  • Investigate functional problems, finding and fixing defects as needed
  • Independently schedule and manage work items (defects, user stories, features, etc.)
  • Design proof of concepts or working prototype for software services
  • Ensure that software designs follow best-practices and architectural guidelines
  •  What You'll Bring

  • B.S. in Computer Science or similar field of study from a 4-year institution
  • Internship experience and/or course experience with data, big data or machine learning
  • Strong level of expertise programming in Python / Scala / Java / C/ C++ or equivalent language
  • Demonstrated aptitude in quickly mastering new languages and technologies 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Security experience or coursework a big plus
  • This role is open to current students graduating in May 2018.
