Overview:
Alteryx, Inc. is looking for a highly skilled security engineer to join our team. As our Information / Application Security Engineer, you will ensure that our software and infrastructure is designed and implemented with best security practices in mind. You will work side by side with some of the most talented engineers in the industry to harden our software applications. You will be responsible for securing the data that we are trusted to protect to the highest standard.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement security features in Alteryx products
- Container configuration security for new cloud applications
- Analyze, investigate, and troubleshoot production security issues
- Assist with security incident response as needed
- Perform periodic security scanning of products in SDLC
- Document security related processes and procedures
Must have Skills:
- Linux system and security engineering at the network, process, filesystem and application layer
- Cryptography: Public Key, Certs, TLS, SSH, OpenSSL, transport and filesystems layer
- Virtualization and/or container knowledge
- Software Engineering: Proficient at an intermediate level
Nice to have:
- Docker
- Micro services
- PKI management
- GSEC or equivalent
- Compliance work: NIST, FedRAMP
- Kubernetes, AWS and web development
- Experience with log collection infrastructures
Experience:
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical field / equivalent experience
- Solid foundation in full stack security (network, system, application)
- Demonstrated proficiency in software development, experience in at least one major programming language and one major scripting language.
- Linux systems engineering or administration experience. OpenSSL/SSH experience important. Docker and micro service experience is a plus
- Experience with log collection infrastructures
Desired Experience:
- Experience in multi-tenant cloud infrastructures
- Familiarity with relational databases
- Experience in vulnerability scanning and mitigation
