In this role you will work with Product, Business and Operations teams, as well as other IT teams (internal and external) to define and build out complex solutions driving value through business process simplification, automation and new product capabilities and innovations. You will demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards. You will lead system design and implementation and be the subject matter expert of domain. You will optimize for performance, scalability, reliability, extensibility and total cost of ownership. You will collaborate with peers and cross functional teams for a portfolio, leveraging an off-shore/on-shore resource model while utilizing agile and waterfall methodologies, ensure assigned projects are delivered on time and coordinated with the dependent systems and ensure adherence to established standards. You will have a strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development. You will be a culture champion on the team and across the company.

 

For this role you will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields with 5+ years of professional experience or a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience. You will have exceptional problem solving and analytical skills/experience.  You will have an excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D. You will have experience in on-prem/cloud(AWS/Azure/Google or Hybrid) architectures, microservices, and distributed patterns. You will be able to demonstrated experience in modern programming languages (for example, Java/C++) and design patterns. You will have proven success with technical concepts of building enterprise application platform using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, modern HTML5/JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React), SQL/No SQL databases and their use in cloud is essential. You will have experience using agile tools (Confluence, JIRA) and solution representation tools (Visio, Lucid Charts) and be able to lead application architecture and design, databases, application hosting (on-prem and Cloud with preference to AWS). You will have experience with agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery). It would be nice for you to have experience in Financial Services industry.

The annual gross base salary range is $94,085.00 – 165,733.00. This role is also eligible to receive annual bonus. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the Western Union total compensation package, which includes short-term incentives, multiple health insurance options, accident and life insurance, and access to best-in-class development platforms, to name a few!
