Overview: The Analytics Products group is a full-stack, polyglot unit focused on delivering the next generation of smart, analytic data science tools. The ideal candidate will work closely with a team of passionate software engineers and data scientists to design and deliver a suite of tools that will make the power of data science available to a much wider audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect solutions for desktop, server, cloud, and distributed platforms
  • Define the technology strategy to bridge the gap between legacy software and modern data science frameworks
  • Design for scalability, resiliency, extensibility, usability, consistency, and security
  • Mentor team members to execute successfully on your designs
  • Stay current on architectural patterns in Big Data, analytics, cloud computing, user interface, and enterprise software systems

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience as a hands-on architect and/or senior-level programmer
  • Deep knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
  • Proven success in designing and delivering high quality commercial software
  • Strong skills in communication, critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detail
  • Polyglot programming experience (C++, Python, JavaScript, etc.)

Valued Skills:

  • Knowledge of data science, statistics, and/or advanced mathematics
  • Familiarity with inter-process communication strategies
  • Experience with mentoring and developing engineering talent
  • Passion for data and analytics, and using them to improve business intelligence and agility
  • Experience with Big Data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, or other NoSQL databases
  •
