Stage5 is looking for a part-time, contract developer to lead application development on its mobile app. The app is currently in alpha testing; we are looking for a developer to take the app from its current state to a shippable v1 in a 6-9 month timeframe.

The application is built in React Native on top of the Expo framework and is written in JavaScript. Stage5 uses Firebase as a backend and authentication service; you will likely need to work with Firebase as part of the development process. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and problem solver with experience building mobile applications in React Native. The candidate should have a strong commitment to UX, and be able to take ideas and wireframes and turn them into not only functional but quality v1 feature sets.

You will be working closely with Stage5's Founder throughout the role, and will also have access to several other developers in an advisory/troubleshooting capacity. The role has the potential to transition to full-time employment contingent on the application's success as well as your contributions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Required: 2+ years of software development experience
• Required: Experience with React v16+, including Contexts and Hooks
• Required: Experience with Git and Github

• Strongly Recommended: Experience shipping and maintaining a mobile application
• Strongly Recommended: Experience with React Native targeting both iOS and Android
• Recommended: Experience with Expo
• Recommended: Experience with Typescript or similar strongly-typed language
