Position Summary:
The API Contract Developer develops and/or provides technical leadership in the development of software involving application of new technologies with significant technical risk. They prepare detailed plans, which may span over a year for programs or complex projects and determines test philosophy, goals, and objectives. The Developer participates in the formation of project goals, scope, and schedule.
The focus will initially be on the API integration between ServiceNow and ConnectWise. Specifically, ConnectWise APIs will be used to create bi-directional sync of tickets and their status, comments, etc. The API Developer will partner with other developers working on the ServiceNow piece of the puzzle to create a comprehensive solution. The integration will be done using Java and associated tech. Once done with ConnectWise, other PSA tools will be utilized - so building a reusable architecture is a must.
Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):
- Focus on the API integration between ServiceNow and ConnectWise and other PSA tools
- Use the ConnectWise APIs to create bi-directional sync of tickets and their status, comments, etc.
- Partner with the developers working on the ServiceNow piece of the puzzle to create a comprehensive solution
- Analyzes, designs, and develops complex application features
- Designs and develops a processing platform using various configuration management technologies
- Mentors junior level Software Engineers
- Provides ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
- Collaborates cross-functionally with data scientists, business users, and other engineers to achieve solutions
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- At least seven (7) years of relevant software development experience
- Effective leadership abilities
- Advanced experience with relevant programming language (e.g., Java, Javascript, Groovy, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with innovative application design and implementation
- Effective problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
Required Education & Certifications:
- B.S./B.A. degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience

Compensation:
- Qualified contract candidates can expect an hourly rate of $68.75/hr or more depending on experience.
