Who We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a Kotlin developer responsible for the development, maintenance and deployment of Android applications and SDKs on Android devices. Your primary focus will be the development of mobile applications and SDKs and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers who are responsible for different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

 

What You’ll Be Responsible For Achieving:

  • Architecting and building delightful mobile applications and SDKs for Android

  • End-to-end app distribution - Deploying apps via the Play Store

  • Ownership over SDK distribution, documentation and customer implementation success

  • Ensuring superior performance, quality, and responsiveness of mobile applications

  • Collaborations with the Engineering, Product, and the other business teams to define, design, and ship new features

  • A high level of trust amongst your team colleagues and external constituents

  • A high level of understanding about how your work fits in, and how to be an asset for your team and the company

  • Maintaining a high level of code quality

  • Maintaining high coverage test suite(s)

  • A reputation for getting things done quickly and efficiently

 

What Will Make You Successful:

  • Advanced Proficiency in Kotlin with a good knowledge of its ecosystems

  • Understanding of current Android backwards compatibility best practices

  • Knowledge of the Gradle build system

  • RxJava and Functional React experience

  • Firm philosophies around testing and experience with modern frameworks (JUnit)

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented and functional programming concepts

  • Familiarity with Google’s Material Design guidelines

  • Experience consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs

  • Proven ability to identify and correct bugs and performance bottlenecks

  • Excellent communication abilities with other engineers and teammates

  • A high level of craftsmanship about your work, the end experience of the user, and impact on overall product

  • Passion for UI / UX

  • Demonstrated ability to unblock yourself and other team members  

  • Confidence deconstructing a problem into an executable action plan for themselves and perhaps other engineers

  • Active participation in code/design/architecture reviews

  • Expertise with modern development processes and tools (Git / Github / Pull Requests)

  • Experience distributing a library to be consumed by external developers

  • Familiarity with continuous integration tools and best practices

 

What Will Make You Standout:

  • Experience with GraphQL

  • Experience with the Redux pattern of unidirectional data flow

  • React Native experience

  • iOS development experience

  • Experience collaborating with external development teams to integrate custom SDKs

  • Experience with the development of white-labeled applications

We have a distributed workforce across the United States. For days you would like to work out of the office, our HQ is located in Denver's urban RiNo district within walking distance to many great restaurants, breweries and an RTD station.
