Overview:
The Agile Project Manager is a key role in Marketron’s Software Development team providing leadership and guidance as we accelerate our agile adoption. This role is responsible for establishing our PMO and agile development methods as well as acting as our primary scrum master and teaching and coaching our teams on all agile topics.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, specifically Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Retrospective and Sprint Review/Demo sessions for the teams
- Facilitate and lead individual Scrum teams in all aspects of Scrum: daily standups, planning, self-organization, collaboration & iterative development
- Guide and coach the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values and help drive them towards continuous Agile improvement
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to create, maintain, and promote consistent Agile practices across all teams within the organization.
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Assist with internal and external communication by providing Agile metrics and reporting, improving transparency, and radiating information through burn up and burn down charts as well as other means.
- Support and educate the Product Owner, stakeholders, and product management in Agile principles and practices, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
- Manage vendor statements of work and invoicing
- Provide roadmap updates and oversee process improvements
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with advanced Agile techniques such as: Scrum, Kanban, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing
- Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Professional certification preferred
- The Scrum Master must be able to be effective in fast paced environments and possess excellent communication skills.
- The role requires a team player who can influence and negotiate with varied project resources.
- The role will work directly with the team, as well as vendors
- Experience working with distributed and offshore teams
Experience:
- Preferred experience as a Scrum Master software product development project experience a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of Scrum Master experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience using Agile-tracking tools (Jira, Confluence)
Working Conditions:
- Constantly involves sitting, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing
- Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/handle items
- Involves light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of primarily administrative nature
- May be exposed to moderate noise levels (i.e. computers, printers, or light traffic)
- May be required to work occasionally in evenings and/or weekends
