Wowza is seeking an experienced cross functional Agile Project Manager with Scrum Master experience to help deliver high-quality Wowza projects, products, and services using Agile methodologies. This person will report to the Agile Program Lead and will play a vital role in ensuring that we maintain our high customer satisfaction ratings in the rapidly changing streaming media market. You will be working closely with a cross-functional and geographically-dispersed team of experienced Product & software professionals that are focused on creating, improving, and driving adoption of Wowza streaming media products.

What you will be doing:

The person we seek is smart, experienced in software program/project management, Agile processes, Scrum Mastering and passionate about digital media technologies. As a member of the Wowza Agile Program team your roles may vary at times from managing high value Wowza projects to Scrum Mastering an Agile team to applying excellent Agile & PM skills in helping coordinate an impactful product launch/marketing campaign to helping facilitate PI Planning across Wowza to facilitating cross team/function retrospectives and driving resultant continuous improvement.

This is not a run of the mill Project Manager role, so we need a quality focused, flexible & driven Agile minded Project Manager that has great coordination/facilitation skills, shows an attention to detail, can easily work across teams & with senior management, and can drive projects to resolution. We are looking for someone who not just “herds cats” but also herd “lions, tigers & dragons”.

You will be expected to be responsible for applying Agile approaches to developing and delivering customer & internal focused projects, identifying and tracking work items and issues, identifying bottlenecks, assessing and managing risks, reporting metrics, and balancing business needs with project challenges. You will work in close partnership with the all functions (sales, marketing, product team, engineering, support, documentation, and infrastructure teams), coordinating efforts across all of these teams as required to deliver on your projects. Experience we'd like you to have:

• Proven Project/Program management experience in Agile & Software solutions
• Solid understanding of software product/project life cycles and how they are managed
• Proven experience of coordination & facilitation across teams without having direct reporting
• 2+ years as a Scrum Master for software development teams (Scrum, Kanban, etc)
• Experience of working with Scaled Agile Framework (preferred), especially as at RTE
• Knowledge and experience with various Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, XP, Kanban
• Understand incremental/continuous delivery and the value of rapid software deployment
• Experience working with local & remote team members
• Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
• Must be able to garner respect from his/her team and be willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done
• A technical background that enables easy interaction with IT Pros, developers, and partners
• Ability to help train and coach teams on improving Agile skills and maturity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including customer-facing communication
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with people of all types/seniority, as well as mentor and coach the team on the Agile process
• Passionate about software products and helping customers to be successful
• Experience with industry standard Agile Lifecycle products; Jira, LeanKit, Rally, etc.
