The Director Network Account Management will oversee the Network Account Management team and be a key contributor to the execution of the Network strategies for our Health Plan partners, inclusive of UHC.
This role leads a Network Account Management team and helps execute pharmacy network strategy for health plan partners (including UHC), driving improvements across people, process, and technology. The Director will serve as a thought partner to clients, account management and senior leadership, translating complex market dynamics into scalable strategies, tools, and frameworks that materially influence network configurations and drive value. He or she will be accountable for evolving and executing the network strategy and roadmap to achieve the transformation agenda.
This leader will set a vision for a geographically dispersed team including a few direct reports, focused on the key business goals, long term strategies and talent development. The team supports health plan network work by assisting with new client implementations and network transitions. It coordinates resolution of network-related issues by identifying and engaging the right subject matter experts, and it responds directly to external client network questions when needed. The role also documents client-specific network information and maintains regular communication with Client Account Management teams to support ongoing network conversations (including Retail Network Alliance/Lease).
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

- Build and maintain solid relationships with key stakeholders in Health Plans and Account Teams, ensuring their network needs are understood and met
- Lead team which will be responsible for developing tailored strategies to enhance client affordability and drive business growth
- Lead Health Plan Network new client implementations and transitions.
This role requires cross-organizational partnership and influence to effect change across all OptumRx businesses, operational and technology processes - Diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop the strategic roadmap for improvements, enhancements, or new tools to solve long term network goals
- Participate as an active strategic leader of the OptumRx Network Relations (INR) leadership team
- Translates business strategies into clear objectives for the team
- Create a highly engaged workforce, assure performance goals are achieved and support ongoing improvement of customer satisfaction and growth
- Act as a senior subject matter expert on Network processes, solutions and contracting opportunities
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective sales strategies to promote healthcare products and services, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand trends, competitor activities, and client needs, positioning the organization effectively within the healthcare landscape
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams, collaborating with marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure alignment on client objectives and sales goals
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor account performance metrics, providing regular updates and insights to both clients and internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
- Product Presentations and Training: Deliver engaging presentations and training sessions to health system clients, showcasing product benefits and ensuring they are equipped to maximize value

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working in leadership roles
- 5 years of experience in PBM
- Experience leading strategic initiatives/plans solid strategic thinking and planning skills, combined with experience creating and executing corresponding operational plans
- Experience building, motivating and leading diverse, high performing, highly engaged teams
- Proven consistent track record for delivering results and driving improvements
- Proven ability to operate independently with high ownership and judgment
- Proven solid written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations
