Alteryx is searching for a UX Designer (REMOTE, US).

Position Overview:

The Alteryx, Inc. UX team is growing and we are looking for a rock star UX Designer to join our team. With multiple platforms and products, our diverse team specializes in understanding the needs of our users and giving them an exceptional experience. If you love solving complex problems at enterprise level, collaborating with an amazing product team and getting exposure to machine learning and predictive products, this is a great fit for you!


What you’ll do:

This position reports into our ramping global team of UX and Visual Designers to help innovate and drive value in the next generation of products. As an integral part of the UX team you will be responsible for a variety of areas and specialties that will require you to heavily interact with product, engineering, accessibility, localization, telemetry and users to better understand product requirements and the optimal solution for our enterprise web and desktop solutions. Through each step of the process, our UX research group will support the Design Thinking process and provide you with feedback and testing to better guide your design decisions.

As UX professionals we have a variety of tools that we use. You should be proficient in the following (or comparable) tools and processes, including: Sketch, Invision, Design Thinking, Agile and/or Lean UX, User Flows, wire framing, design systems, and an understanding of iterative design. As a company at scale, we operate a global design system that each product utilizes in a variety of ways, you will be responsible for understanding, evangelizing and contributing to it when working through each initiative.


Required skills:

  • Experience with product discovery and market research
  • 3-5 years UX experience in software or SaaS design (web or desktop)
  • Experience wire-framing and Prototyping
  • Working with Telemetry / usage data
  • BS/BA Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Portfolio demonstrating interaction and visual interface design skills.

Valued Skills:

  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JS
  • Experience working and interfacing with engineering teams
  • Knowledge of Agile / Lean methodologies
  • Understanding of product process and software development

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $88,400 - $150,300. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. 

This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
