The Role

We are looking for an experienced UX Designer who is motivated to combine the art of aesthetic with the art of usability and human centered design. Your responsibilities will include defining and driving UX strategy and interaction design while establishing design standards captured in a style guide and driving consistent usage of that guide throughout our web and mobile applications. You will take an active role in defining how the application looks and behaves.

We are looking for a designer who shares our focus on and care for the success of our clients, our product, and our business.

You will:

• Design intuitive and functional user experiences
• Participate in discussions & brainstorming sessions on design and feature functionality
• Work cross-functionally with product, engineering and the senior leadership team to design new features
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on new features or experiences
• Conduct user tests and research to validate hypotheses and iterate quickly
• Demonstrate high-quality design practices. This includes participation in all aspects of UX: research, ideation, strategy, interaction design, information architecture and visual execution.
• Be a self-starter who requires little day to day supervision/directions

Required Skills and Experience

• 4+ years of experience as an UI or UX Designer working on web or mobile applications
• Strong portfolio with well-articulated examples of visual and interaction design
• Passion for creating elegantly simple products that people use every day
• Collaborative mindset and interest in working with product and engineering teams
• Adaptable, enthusiastic, and willing to take ownership
• Inquisitive, analytical, and creative problem solver

Nice to have

• Experience working in-house embedded within product, design or engineering teams
• Experience with mobile iOS and/or Android app design
• Experience with agile development process, usability research, and testing
