About the Role

We are looking for a UX Designer with strong interests and capabilities in who understands user centric design principles and have an eye for aesthetics. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product meet users’ goals and business goals.

This individual excels at providing both highly analytical & creative ideas, and will be working with a team of experienced designers to push and grow their profession with our team. Our design team encourages engagement with the thriving Denver design community to voice your thoughts in workshop, panels, and social events.


 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Interaction design definition, direction and execution

  • Translating concepts & business requirements into engaging user experiences

  • Creating prototypes, mockups & wireframes

  • Ensuring usability & consistency

  • Collaborating with business & tech stakeholders via iterative feedback loops

  • Conduct user research such as personas & journey mapping.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of user experience design experience for software, web applications which leverage emergent technologies, consumer electronics and/or mobile devices

  • Exceptional design skills, production value and attention to detail

  • Owns & maintains style guide and/or component library

  • Proficient with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies

  • Understanding of common software development and/or project management practices/methodologies

  • Positive attitude

  • Innovative problem solver – always seeking something new and better with their designs

  • Highly collaborative

  • Grace under pressure

  • Strong work ethic, embraces challenges

  • Sense of humor

Preferred Requirements

  • Education in Human-Computer Interaction design

  • Familiar with front-end programming (HTML, CSS, Angular)

  • Experience with Material Design and Design Systems

  • Participated in site-wide redesign efforts

  • Expertise in common wireframing software such as Sketch,  Invision, and industry tools.
