About this Role

We are looking for a UX Designer to turn our software into a frictionless and engaging customer experience. This will be accomplished through a wide range of tasks, including user research, analytics, and user-centered design methodologies to drive design decisions that have a direct impact on the user experience.

 

To be successful in this role, you will lead the creation of elevated user experiences by collaborating with stakeholders, external teams, and other project team members. The ideal candidate will be proficient and experienced at performing various forms of user testing, designing user interfaces, detailing design documentation, handling the design of marketing requests such as creating newsletter emails and paywall ads, and strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

Main Accountabilities

  • Conducting user research, concept, and usability testing to understand user needs and psychology.

  • Create personas through user research and data.

  • Understand product specifications.

  • Developing wireframes and task flows based on user needs.

  • Collaborating with Designers and Developers to create intuitive, user-friendly software.

  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).

  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.

  • Develop UI mockups that clearly illustrate how sites function and look.

  • Possess strong presentation skills to internal teams and key stakeholders.

  • Have knowledge of competitor products and industry trends.

  • Designing emails, newsletters, and paywall ads.

  • The ideal candidate would also be able to optimize UI, such as:

    • Design graphic UI elements (e.g., menus, tabs, buttons, and widgets).

    • Build page navigation buttons and search fields.

    • Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables).

Certifications, experience, training, education required

  • Bachelor’s degree in information design, human factors, HCI, cognitive psychology, or related discipline, or equivalent education and relevant training.

  • 5 years experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, or similar role and a portfolio to showcase your work.

  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign as well as InVision, Sketch, UXPin, Balsamiq or applications/platforms

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a huge plus!

  • Ability to build working prototypes, mockups, wireframes with work samples

  • Background in project management and research, or demonstrated time management skills.

  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture.

  • Problem-solving aptitude and an analytical mind with business-focused acumen.

  • Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
