We are looking for a UX designer to join our growing team in Broomfield, CO to enhance the customer experience for touchpoints across a customer journey. Working within the product team and collaborating with members of marketing, customer support, online and external sales, engineering, legal and accounting will bring our company-wide focus on improved user experience to the forefront. The successful candidate will have a great track record of cross-team collaboration, productivity, creativity, independent problem solving, and on-time delivery of finished work. We are looking for someone with the knowledge and skills to make strong customer-centric decisions relying on a balance of user research and best practices, as well as technical capabilities as a designer and individual contributor as a positive force for change. We have a distributed team, so we require great communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop user personas and usage scenarios
  • Analyze user feedback and activity, and iterate to enhance the user experience
  • Chart the customer journey, target areas of improvement, and design recommended improvements to processes, products and supporting business operations
  • Operate with a customer-centric design approach to test and iterate on proposed journeys and workflows with purpose, clarity and an emotional connection
  • Assist with conducting competitor and customer analysis
  • Consult with external and internal clients to understand their goals and explain research results
  • Conduct customer experience research, interviews and surveys. Translate the findings into wireframes and prototypes
  • Design and deliver user journeys, personas, wireframes, and user stories. 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Analytical capabilities in compiling and reviewing feedback and data culled from research and internal sources
  • Skilled at rapid prototyping, developing wireframes, creating product mock ups, analyzing business processes, and charting customer journeys
  • Ability to perform and moderate various usability testing sessions and studies
  • Strong working knowledge of common design tools such as the Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Axure, Visio, Sketch, etc.  Mobile (iOS, Android) design experience is a plus
  • Solid understanding of information organization, user-centered design, and human-computer interaction
  • Experience with business operations combined with experience design
  • Ability to partner with marketing, customer support, online and external sales, engineering, and legal teams as a trusted advisor
  • Independent worker with ability to partner with various business departments
  • Attributes: Highly productive, diligent, creative, talented, able to focus on the big picture while still being detail-oriented   
  • 4-year college or advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, or related field
  • Portfolio of recent work, preferably online
  • Proven track record of UI / UX delivery
  • 3+ years’ experience in user interface design
