User Experience Researcher at Snapdocs, Inc.
Snapdocs is a rapidly growing San Francisco-based real estate technology unicorn backed by leading investors Sequoia, Y Combinator, Tiger Global, F-Prime, and others. We're on a mission to perfect mortgage closings for all. Powering millions of closings a year, Snapdocs is leading the charge to modernize, streamline, and improve the mortgage process for lenders, borrowers, and settlement.
At Snapdocs, we are on a mission to enhance the real estate closing process with efficiency and transparency so that lenders can close their loans sooner and home buyers can move into their dream homes quicker. We are hiring our second User Experience Researcher to empower our Product and Design teams to complete this research! You’ll help establish what research tools and processes we put in place, ensure we use best practices, and communicate our learnings across the team to maximize the impact of that research. As our second research hire, you will be one of the founding team members of our user research function! You will help support the Product & Design teams with UX research that drives new product discovery and definition needs while establishing a culture focused on the end user. You’ll plan and conduct qualitative research studies, synthesize findings, and share those findings with partners. The role will focus on building and executing impactful research plans that lead to deep user insights needed to make important decisions and product roadmaps. Lastly, you will work to disseminate research insights to evolve and enhance Snapdocs understanding of the user needs and identify innovative opportunities to meet those needs
We are looking for someone with existing experience in the mortgage or financial services industry — ideally you’ve worked at a bank, lender, or title company, have some experience conducting user research, and knowledge of various research methods. This role requires someone with strong project management, organizational and verbal and written communication skills. We’re also looking for someone who is scrappy and has worked in a fast growing startup before. You are results oriented and have an analytical mind that enables you to find themes and extract learnings from raw feedback and know which questions need to be asked. You are incredibly user-centric and empathy is your North star value. Lastly, you possess strong initiative and drive and a desire to own programs from scratch.
