About The Position

Takeoffs.io is a growing startup, automating an age old industry. We are seeking a User Experience & User Interface Designer with experience in B2B software applications and a love for simple user interfaces as we continue to push the building industry forward.

As a UI/UX Designer at Takeoffs, you are responsible for developing and launching leading-edge experience across web and mobile application that will define simplicity and usability for pre-construction software. The intended product will revolutionize the way users measure, estimate and select and purchase building materials.

The UI/UX Designer will work closely with team members from Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, and Operations to ensure features are enabled and UI/UX experience is delivered at or above expectations. This UI/UX Designer will join the team in an Agile environment, working together with globally distributed contributors on a daily basis.

This role has a high level of autonomy and provides an amazing platform to build a business they can be proud of, and which will reward them for success.

What You Wil Do

• Generate high quality web and app experiences based upon specified features and functions

• Create interfaces appropriate for many user types, from architects, general contractors, sub-contractors, construction team members and stakeholders

• Map new and unfamiliar user features in an intuitive way

• Create collaborative experiences with multiple personas

• Ability to collaborate with engineering teams to connect development to the experience

• Consider user experience as a key aspect of interface design

• Ability to drive deliverables to deadlines independently

• Openness to collaboration and team-based problem solving

What You Bring

• 4+ years as UI/UX design for web and mobile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Software Development or related field

• Familiarity with Architecture, Design, and/or ConstructionExperience in designing and iterating on web apps

• Quantitative and user behavior analysis skills

• Excellent written and verbal communicator

• Outstanding design application skills including Sketch, InVision, Illustrator and Photoshop

• Expertise with HTML and CSS

• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
