Overview of the position
In our new role Scaled Agile, Inc. is looking for Sr UI/UX Designer to join our technology team in our Boulder office.
This is an opportunity to be a part of a fun, high performing development team doing cutting edge work utilizing many current technologies.
What you’ll be doing:
As a part of the Information & Technology team, you will partner with stakeholders to own the design UI/UX capabilities for multiple web properties and applications used by over 180,000 Scaled Agile customers and our employees.
This role requires regular collaboration with stakeholders and developers to conceptualize as well as translate concepts and then take them through development for interactive marketing, online campaigns, feature improvements, and web-based projects. Other responsibilities include:
- Create concepts utilizing storyboards and other techniques (wireframing, prototyping, etc) to iterate solutions to address program objectives.
- Explore opportunities to improve overall customer experiences beyond program objectives.
- Design MVPs that can be tested or implemented to test your hypotheses.
- Drive A/B testing recommendations for engagement and conversion optimization.
- Work with a diverse team and collaborate/manage up with stakeholders to develop visions and sell it around the organization.
- Participate in Agile team ceremonies including but not limited to: daily standups, team demos, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.
Skills and experience that are important for the role:
- 5 to 7 years UI/UX or front-end design experience.
- Strong design portfolio with a focus on layout and customer journey.
- Experience with designing for information websites and platforms.
- Experience in translating designs into HTML & CSS
- Able to effectively work in high pressure situations and negotiate priorities.
- Creative problem-solving skills that enable you to evaluate different approaches, brainstorm, and seek original & innovative ideas
- Strong verbal communication skills, able to articulate your process, thoughts, ideas and your perspectives about your work.
- Knowledge of JavaScript UI/UX frameworks (e.g. JQuery) and familiarity with Angular and/or React UI/UX capabilities.
- Strong skills in Creative Suite
Nice to haves:
- Experience designing solutions built on Salesforce Communities Cloud.
- Experience designing e-learning solutions.
- Understanding/experience leveraging Lean UX to validate hypotheses.
- Experience in Agile team practices.
- Experience working with programming languages.
