Why this opportunity?
We recently closed a Seed Funding round, and our business is growing faster than ever. We are looking for a UX Designer to shape the user experience and interface of our platform. Join us on our journey to build the best sustainability management software in the world.

The role and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CPO, Customers, Sales and Service team, and Engineering team to design and redesign the UI/UX of our software products
  • Develop personas, user journeys, user flows, and wireframes
  • Develop and maintain a Design Library to ensure continuity across Optera products
  • Conduct meetings and workshops with customers and stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of users and their needs
  • Collaborate with CPO and Engineering team to properly scope and implement designs
  • Participate in Agile process

Your qualities

  • Strong listener and communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Keen ability to ask good questions, dig deep, and build a holistic understanding of stakeholders’ perspectives (Empathy!)
  • Passionate about simple, elegant, and intuitive design
  • Be part of and foster a supportive and collaborative environment
  • Lover of continued learning and growth
  • Interest in building solutions to help stop climate change

Your experience/qualifications

  • Experience with UX and Product Design for web applications
  • Formal education in Human Computer Interaction (preferred) or similar programs
  • Proven track record of delivering elegant and intuitive product design
  • Proficiency with design platforms (Figma, Sketch, InVision, Principle, etc)
  • Knowledge of data-rich interface design (data manipulation, charts, and visualizations)
  • Experience with usability testing and user research
  • Comfort working in an Agile environment

Nice to have

  • Understanding of Sustainability and/or Energy Industry
  • Experience with B2B SaaS
  • Prior work in a startup environment
