This role

As a member of the product design team, you’ll wake up every day obsessed about how to help our home service providers be successful. Our team designs solutions that help our service providers grow their small businesses, gain a few hours back at the end of their busy days, and find delight in using a  software system that truly meets their needs.

Specifically, as a Sr. Product Designer, you will bring your proven research and design skills to help us drive, define and design every aspect of the customer journey for our products. You will have experience designing scalable solutions for both responsive web and native mobile applications. Your goal will be to reduce the cognitive load on our customers as they use our products by fostering confidence and delight. 

You will be a leading part of our product design team mentoring other designers, collaborating with product managers, and engineers to validate and deliver experiences rapidly and iteratively.

 You should be comfortable and knowledgeable with Figma, the Material UI design framework, Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, and the Material Design system.

You will help us fulfill our vision of being the essential ingredient that empowers home services providers to be successful.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Advocating for the customer’s needs while balancing the goals of the business
  • Collaborating with other designers, product managers, and engineers to implement product experiences
  • Defining and communicating good user experience and design best practices
  • Executing usability testing, competitor analysis, and discovery research 
  • Creating event models, user flows, and customer journeys
  • Building UI wireframes and interactive prototypes
  • Delivering high fidelity UI designs 
  • Presenting and communicating concepts and design rationale to team members and stakeholders
  • Leading and mentoring other designers on our team
  • Innovating and strengthening design principles and repeatable patterns


Required qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience with web applications and native application design
  • 2+ years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Ability to mentor, lead, and inspire other designers
  • Ability to successfully support multiple projects at a time
  • Ability to articulate multi-step flows through event modeling, information architecture and flow mapping
  • Amazing UX and UI design skills
  • Experience with Figma and component driven design concepts
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills
  • A customer focused approach that uses research insights and industry trends to influence designs and decision making
  • Ability to give and receive quality, constructive feedback
  • Ability to reduce complexity in product and process

Compensation: Minimum $120,000 base + Annual Bonus + Equity

Location

We are actively hiring in San Diego, CA and Denver, CO. Majority of our employees work remotely but we have an office in the RINO district if employees choose to come in.
