You’ll collaborate deeply with Product Management and Engineering to ensure we’re solving the most important problems. You’ll collaborate deeply with other design leads to ensure the experience of our platform hangs together while allowing designers to have areas of focus. And, you’ll have an opportunity to mentor other designers in your area. More specifically, you’ll:
Partner with Product Management to deeply understand user needs
Build empathy for our customers by conducting and leveraging research to inform design solutions
Create simple, intuitive flows and experiences that delight our customers
Validate designs and design assumptions with target users
Partner with Product Management and Engineering to take features from concept to launch
Make day-to-day design calls as new information comes up (think...we have a new engineering constraint, you got a great question from a developer, your product manager just brought you a new business insight)
Mentor other designers as they execute on product design
Follow up on how effectively our experience is meeting needs after launch.
We’re looking for:
5+ years of related experience designing at customer-focused, fast-paced tech companies delivering customer value quickly to the market.
Strong ability to empathize with our unique IT users, understand our technology, and simplify complex functional operations into smooth and intuitive user experiences.
Experience applying user research findings into your designs
Great design chops - strong aesthetic, good sense for what design will work for our users and their context
Proficiency using tools, such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, UserTesting to conduct research and present designs
Strong visual and written communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
Bonus points for experience with implementing or leveraging a design system
