Production Design Team Manager
Engrain’s Production Design Team Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Map Production processes from start to finish. This includes closely managing a team of production artists and designers to create map files, technically prep and code map files, and ensure adherence of map files to design standards and file structure best practices. The Production Design Team Manager role requires expert level Adobe Illustrator skills, strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to successfully lead a deadline driven team in a fast paced environment. This role must work cross-departmentally, collaborating with various technical staff, including the leadership, product development and implementation teams and therefore requires solid communication and leadership skills.

Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Assign tasks and issues and monitor volume of work for Map Production Team (technical illustrations)
- Lead Map Production Team to successfully create map files to specification and consistently meet critical milestones
- Ensure team members’ (and contracted resources’) compliance of production, technical and design best practices via consistent file review
- Ensure team remains well informed of new processes and best practices
- Resolve day-to- day operation and employee performance issues as they arise
- Serve as a technical expert in resolving inconsistencies in file structure or technical preparation of files via expert level knowledge in Adobe Illustrator
- Track and manage team performance, time allocations, and quality per company objectives
- Proactively anticipate and identify potential risks and issues that may impact deliverables, as well as develop and implement mitigation and corrective action quickly
- Serve as a primary point of escalation for project timeline, resource or scheduling conflicts
- Coordinate with Senior Leadership and Product Development to translate technical requirements into manageable and efficient workflows
- Develop, maintain and disseminate a documented system of applicable policies and processes
- Develop, monitor, and improve key processes crucial to the production pipeline
- Play a key role in recruiting, hiring, managing and developing Map Production talent
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the market, industry trends, and core technologies
