An Insider's view of Backbone

What’s the vibe like in the office?

I was surprised, in a good way, about how casual and comfortable our office is. Nothing about our office is intimidatingly professional. Everyone is professional, for sure, but in a supportive way rather than in a scary, looking-down-on-you way. Everyone has everyone else's best interests at heart, and it's lead to a really tight team.

Junior Growth Marketer

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

We're building a quicker, more effective, more robust solution for people in the PLM space to replace antiquated, out of date systems. What we're doing really is revolutionary. We're becoming the one-stop shop that everyone in the consumer goods space can go to.

Senior Software Engineer

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I started as one of the first interns at Backbone, and I've been given opportunities to excel at every turn. It's been a lot of hard work, but I've always felt really supported here. My team leader has given me more and more responsibility as time has gone on, and I'm excited to see what I can do in my first management role.

Communications Manager

What does your typical day look like?

One of the things I love about Backbone is that I don't really have a 'typical' day. Every day looks different. I kind of act as a bridge between the a lot of our different teams because we do a lot of inter-team work. Sometimes I sit in on client calls work, because I know the platform so well. We all wear a lot of hats here!
