Snapdocs is a rapidly growing San Francisco-based real estate technology unicorn backed by leading investors Sequoia, Y Combinator, Tiger Global, F-Prime, and others. We're on a mission to perfect mortgage closings for all. Powering millions of closings a year, Snapdocs is leading the charge to modernize, streamline, and improve the mortgage process for lenders, borrowers, and settlement.

At Snapdocs, we are on a mission to enhance the real estate closing process with efficiency and transparency so that lenders can close their loans sooner and home buyers can move into their dream homes quicker. To help us accomplish this mission, we are looking for a Product Design Manager to help lead our Design team!

As a Product Design Manager, you will lead a team of up to 7-8 skilled, multidisciplinary Product Designers to deliver positive outcomes for our users and our company. You will ensure your team’s success through coaching and mentoring, as well as maintaining positive and productive working relationships within the team and cross-functional partners. You will provide frequent, effective feedback to your team members that allows them to increase their influence on the roadmap and produce thorough, high-quality work. You will guide the team and help them develop and navigate their career path while contributing to an empathetic company culture where all colleagues feel included and respected. You’ll help shape design processes and partner with our Head of Design to execute the vision for building a world class design team. You will partner with Product leaders to shape the roadmap from a Design perspective, and ensure your team’s success through coaching and mentoring. You will have high impact within our team, and will help build the software that reimagines real estate transactions with modern experiences that puts humans first.

We’re targeting candidates with 5-8 years of design experience with at least 4 of those years leading or managing a design team, ideally in a B2B enterprise environment. You have experience working with engineers and product managers to drive strategy, vision, and execution of projects and are comfortable juggling a wide range of responsibilities. You have a collaborative, low-ego approach to working with others and a proven track record of managing up, down, and across to create visibility into your team’s efforts and outcomes. You have strong verbal and written communication and have the ability to articulate how you and & your team’s designs support your team's goals, the broader product vision, and company objectives. You have a strong, demonstrated understanding of a wide array of design artifacts across the product development lifecycle, from foundational research to polished final designs and everything in between. Lastly, you are passionate about prioritizing the user perspective, motivation and needs and using design to simplify complex workflows.
