About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Principal Product Designer with exceptional design vision and craftsmanship, who can lead and execute in a fast-paced environment. You are a collaborative creative problem-solver who is known for making complex things simple and intuitive, informed by customer data and business needs, and knows how to work collaboratively with others to turn ideas into reality.
What you’ll be doing:
The primary focus for this role will be to oversee and contribute to our core directory platform. You’ll also have plenty of opportunity to jump in on user research, data analysis, user testing, creating design concepts and patterns, and supporting other parts of the company when they have design needs. More specifically, you’ll be:
Creating simple, intuitive flows and experiences that delight our customers
Validating designs and design assumptions with target users
Partnering with Product and Engineering teams to take features from conception to launch
Making day-to-day design calls as new information comes up (think...we have a new engineering constraint, you got a great question from a developer, your product manager just brought you a new business insight)
Building empathy for our customers and using research to inform design solutions
Who you are:
You have 10+ years of related experience designing at consumer-focused, fast-paced tech companies delivering customer value quickly to the market.
You are a seasoned, full-stack designer who can drive experiences from discovery to delivery.
You have shipped many products over the years and skilled at balancing both business-to-consumer and business-to-business considerations.
You are passionate about design systems and well-versed in data-informed product design and development.
You empathize with our unique IT users, understand our technology, and simplify complex functional operations into smooth and intuitive user experiences.
You have experience working in an agile environment with design, product, and engineering leaders to align on product strategy and make them real as a team.
You are a trusted mentor. Your actions, experience, and knowledge are influential to design and designers.
You are passionate about design culture. You are a voice of design principles and methods across all functions and levels of the organization.
Where you’ll be working
All our roles are remote in the U.S. unless otherwise specified. Our Headquarters is in the Denver/Boulder, CO area. Once we reopen our offices you will have the opportunity to remain fully remote (in the U.S.), work from one of our office locations (CO only currently) or flex your time.
Why JumpCloud?

Please submit your résumé and brief explanation about yourself and why you would be a good fit for JumpCloud and serving our great customer base. If you include a few things you’d like to see in our product that’s a bonus!
