Job Summary

Sr. Digital Design Lead

Creative:

  • Lead the Digital Design/UX team in strategizing, designing, presenting, developing, and delivering engaging and delightful user experiences and digital assets that exemplify the NetApp brand, increase engagement with NetApp solutions, and generate demand for NetApp sales funnels.
  • Collaborate with internal account managers and project teams to deliver successful and effective end products. 
  • Manage and design multiple projects simultaneously from concept to go-live within tight deadlines. 
  • Communicate openly and honestly with product owners and account managers about timelines and progress to build healthy working relationships. 
  • Present prototypes to Product Owners and teams and integrate feedback into the final experience.
  • Utilize testing data to make informed design decisions that increase efficiency and effectiveness. 

Leadership:

  • Take the lead in the design and implementation of UX and design guidelines for NetApp.
  • Provide the team with creative and visual direction for a wide range of digital assets and experiences.
  • Implement processes and procedures that promote efficiency within the UX/Design team.
  • Review designs from the design team and offer constructive feedback and guidance to ensure a cohesive visual language across the entire spectrum of sites and assets.
  • Lead internal brainstorms, ideations and continuing education sessions.

Job Requirements

Tech Know-how:

 

  • Comfortable and efficient with Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the restraints and opportunities of the development process and code

 

Areas of Expertise:

 

  • Wireframing and visioning
  • User Experience/Consumer Experience
  • Web and mobile design with a thorough understanding of responsive design 
  • Art and creative direction 
  • Video direction and production
  • Logo and Iconography design
  • Presentation and “sales” of ideas
  • Design testing and ongoing interation
  • Leadership by example
  • Listening
  • Advocation for your designers and the team

 

Education

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
