Bear with us, we are word people trying to describe a design gig. Verblio’s marketing team is seeking a curious and creative visual designer to assist us on a cornucopia of cool projects.  Are you someone who loves collaborating with super smart and enjoyable people? Someone who’s interested in working with a startup that actually treats people well? Someone who won’t hate us when we utter the dreaded words, “Can you just make it pretty?” (jk, we know better than to say that.) In the words of Aaliyah, Are You That Somebody? If so, HI! We’re excited to meet you. Let’s talk details.
First, a little bit about us

Verblio is a content creation platform based in Denver, CO. We are content marketing enthusiasts with an amazing brand and platform. We’re in full-tilt growth mode with grandiose plans for world domination (the friendly kind) and show no signs of slowing down. Content in all its forms—blog posts, web pages, newsletters, ebooks, the list goes on—it’s all  vital to modern marketing. But it’s really hard to do well and at scale (think how hard it is to do anything great in  large quantities, that’s why wedding food is often so bad.)  To help companies make it happen, Verblio nurtures a network of over 3,000 writers—plus a marketplace business model and an easy-to-use platform—so our customers can create great content and get the attention of something that rhymes with shmoogle. If you’re reading this and thinking, “Cool, but how do I fit in?” Stay with us. Verblio’s marketing team needs you.

We’re looking for a designer who…

  • Enjoys marketing design
  • Has serious visual design chops
  • Has excellent typography skills and nerds out about it
  • Is comfortable with WordPress & Beaver Builder (or other page-builder tools)
  • Is a strategic and conceptual thinker
  • Is comfortable working on multiple projects and tracking progress/updates in Asana
  • Knows how to communicate the pros, cons, and options in their work so that non-designers can understand
  • Has fantastic verbal and written communication skills
  • Loves to brainstorm and riff with other collaborators of all levels
  • Is excited about the opportunity to make cool stuff, get experimental, and bring their unique perspective to an incredible team

  • 5+ years of professional experience creating beautiful, usable design solutions.
  • Strong English language skills
  • Ability to listen to an idea and put it into action
