LEAD UX DESIGNER - please include a link to your portfolio, along with your resume

We're seeking a special Lead User Experience Designer based in Denver, CO to join our energetic team.  Our ideal candidate must have extensive experience leading user experience and interaction design efforts for multiple high-volume consumer applications in both web and mobile applications.

We need a thought leader who is seasoned in all facets of UX and active in the entire process. This means solid UX research practices, as well as owning all UX testing, running team whiteboard exercises--and individually sketching, wire-framing, developing clickable prototypes and collaborating with the UI design and development teams to see the user experience flows through to execution.

WHAT WOULD I BE DOING?

  • Work with our product team to help define the strategy and vision for the myStrength web and mobile product suite.
  • Own UX within the organization, as you work collaboratively with the dev, product and design team
  • Be the champion for our users and customers - establish solid UX research practices to continually gain new insights to help drive design decisions.
  • Help establish an agile design process that works to validate design decisions early and often.
  • Help define and iteratively test the user experience by developing sketches, wireframes, and clickable prototypes.
  • Collaborate with the visual design and development teams to see the user experience flows through to execution.
  • Analyze existing user data to understand how the current experiences are working and identify areas for improvement.
  • Create simple, elegant and compelling experiences that solve complex problems.
  • Contribute to creative brainstorming and solutions engineering.

WHAT EXPERIENCE & SKILLS DO I NEED?

  • 7+ years progressive experience developing user experience and interaction design in a collaborative business environment for consumer-facing products---in mobile and web platforms.  UX must have been your focus.
  • Must have led UX in a multitude of past roles and have deep experience driving the UX process with key stakeholders
  • Must provide a current portfolio with working examples of UX work for web and mobile consumer applications
  • Mastery of tools like sketch, invision, etc. to build wireframes and clickable prototypes. 
  • Technically savvy, seeking out and understanding new/trending design patterns for different platforms
  • Flexible, creative & fun—self-starter with ability to roll with changes in a fast-paced, emerging growth environment and keep a positive attitude
  • Experience in start-up/emerging growth organizations, particularly B2B and B2C organizations
