As the Lead Product Designer at Notion, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from talking to our customers, users, and partners, to working with a multidisciplinary product team, to working with customer success in understanding how people use our products and services.You will use your full range of product design skills, from research to prototyping, to produce thoughtful and valuable solutions to real user problems.

What you'll be doing:

  • Validate and turn broad and ambiguous into useful and valuable features
  • Iterate quickly and thoughtfully based on feedback from users and partners
  • As part of a balanced team, work with customer success, marketing, engineers, project managers, and QA to ensure alignment and communication of the experiences you design for
  • Help shape a collaborative, communicative, human-centered design culture within Notion
  • Use data to help inform your decision making process
  • Own the experiences people have using Notion's technology
  • Own Notion's Design System 
  • Own Notion's continuous discovery efforts for understanding how people are interacting with our technology
  • Creating stories and prioritize the product design backlog with Notion's Project Manager
  • Represent Notion users and Notion's design team within product team retros, planning and other meetings as a part of a balanced product team working in an Agile framework

What Notion is looking for:

  • 4-6 years of experience as a product designer, building and shipping mobile & web apps/features
  • Use of an evidence-based approach to decision making using both quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Portfolio showcasing your process and your work
  • You’re able to adapt your designs across a variety of platforms and form factors, and you understand the opportunities with, and limitations of different platforms
  • Passionate about the human-centered design process and solving real problems for real people
  • You think at a high level about design strategy and vision–not just 'how it should look' but 'what we should build' and “why”
  • You’re familiar with prototyping  tools like Invision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc) 
  • You are comfortable and excited about building relationships with customer success, marketing, engineering, PM and QA teams
  • You are a strong facilitator, communicator and collaborator that can clearly articulate your design decisions
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment

Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay and equity.
