Your Impact
Lead Product Designers at Handshake lead product and design thinking within their areas or squads. Working closely with their UX research, product, and engineering partners, they define and design surprisingly great products and experiences that meet users’ needs, and are executed with a high degree of polish. Lead Product Designers will mentor and coach other designers working on their projects. We’re looking for Lead Product Designers across all areas of Handshake — Student, Enterprise, Edu, and Self-Serve.
Your Role
- As a Lead Product Designer, you will work from concept to delivery to inform product strategy and shape students’ career discovery experience.
- Partner with product, research, and engineering to ensure projects are well defined, high impact, and successfully executed.
- Develop and improve a shared product design language across all student surfaces reflective of our brand.
- Up level the entire team through commitment to growth and mentorship
Your Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in product design
- Demonstrated experience leading design on consumer products across web and mobile.
- Familiarity with human centered/user centered design methodology and techniques
- Experience working with engineers and product managers to drive strategy, vision, and execution
- A collaborative, no ego, approach to working with others
- A portfolio of impeccably executed consumer product design
- University degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Centered Design, Sociology, Psychology, Information Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Compensation
$168,000 - $187,000
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
