Job Description

Unbridled is seeking a talented Lead Art Director for our fast-growing creative team. This is the perfect opportunity for a motivated and driven individual with art direction experience to be a celebrated maestro orchestrating the movements of a multi-faceted team. This position would involve leading graphic design projects through strategy to conception, including delegating and managing the workload of graphic designers. The ideal Lead Art Director will be able to demonstrate strategic thinking skills through examples of their work, experience managing and mentoring a team of designers, be a dynamic presenter, and have recent experience working on innovative, integrated campaigns. The Lead Art Director will work closely and act as project lead within a team of 3 designers. This person leads the team morale and must be a source of strength and solutions. An ideal candidate can perform under tight deadlines and unexpected changes in direction and priorities, including an impromptu happy hour on the front porch or birthday morning extravaganzas.

Successful candidates will have the following: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, art, or similar experience in print, digital, and social media
• Minimum of 3-5 years art director experience working on print, and digital campaigns, marketing or advertising (preferably agency or design experience in Corporate Events) 
• Master in Adobe Creative Suite and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, CSS, WordPress familiarity
• Mastery of other applicable Mac/PC software programs
• A well-rounded portfolio of client work, demonstrating a strong understanding of client objectives and strategies
• Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills with proven persuasive skills with clients
• Ability to critically communicate about design concepts and strategy
• Sound decision-making skills based in agency, client, and industry knowledge
• Start-up mentality, passion for business, not satisfied with status quo...always thinking of ways to improve/grow assigned business
• Life-long learning spirit and hunger to take on new challenges

What you would be doing at Unbridled: 

• Motivate and lead a team of designers, inspiring them to deliver top performance against assigned projects
• Dynamically engage and influence a variety of audiences
• Take direction from leadership and effectively communicate to team
• Understand design in multiple mediums- on-premise, digital, & mobile to deliver on client projects
• Work closely with graphic designers and copywriters to ensure cohesive looks, tone, and feel across all mediums or a project/program
• Present creative rationale and aesthetic in a clear and persuasive manner to internal teams and clients.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization
• Consult with client directly on art direction, experience design, and installation
• Provide management and leadership while also acting as a sounding board on daily tasks, as well opportunities to elevate and encourage growth
• Manage and communicate with vendors on a daily basis 
• Travel 4-7 days per month (actual travel varies based on client requirements)
