Role Overview

Boom is looking for a passionate and balanced all-around junior graphic designer to support the creative and artwork process across a wide variety of both digital and print-based projects. In conjunction with your exemplary creative ability, you must also have supreme attention to detail. At our core, we are a passenger and customer-centric organization and need someone who understands the importance of designing with our customers in mind. We are looking for someone who thrives in an agile environment and is unafraid to challenge themselves by incorporating new tools and skills into their existing workflow. You should be able to track and work on multiple projects simultaneously and be receptive to feedback from both the marketing team and internal stakeholders. Most of all, you are eager to foster the growth of Boom’s brand and share in our mission to make the world dramatically more accessible. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Help conceptualize and produce high-quality, creative, digital and print solutions for marketing collateral/campaigns, product marketing materials, and websites.
  • Participate in the development of creative concepts from a brief and bring them to life whilst observing Boom’s brand standards.
  • Keep current on industry trends and reference best in class design comparables for inspiration.
  • Prepare final production ready files for both print and web.
  • Manage digital assets through an organized, logical directory system.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and cross-functionally to meet project deadlines.
  • Coordinate artwork and layout development for a wide variety of projects with tight deadlines.

  • Understands how to balance business needs with creative vision with a focus on results.
  • Puts our customers and future passengers at the core of everything we build.
  • B2B and/or B2B2C experience with a focus on digital. 
  • Understand the intersection of product and brand building with the ability to not only think long term but also deliver immediate results.
  • Applies high standards across all aspects of the work.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, software, practices, and production. (Both digital and print.)
  • Comfortable developing digital presentations and web graphics.
  • Able to absorb direct and constructive feedback from team members while maintaining positivity and optimism. 
  • A team player with a bias for action.
  • Resourceful with a can-do attitude toward problem-solving.
  • Responsive, collaborative, and hard-working.
  • Excellent working knowledge of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, G-suite etc.
  • Working knowledge of Cinema 4D, After Effects, and/or Premiere is a plus.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, liberal arts or relevant field; 
  • 4+ years combined experience with 2+ years as a Graphic Designer or similar position.


Compensation:

The Base Salary Range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 and represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom’s total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives/equity, an open PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.

To conform to U.S. Government aerospace technology export regulations (ITAR and EAR), applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
