About the Role:
JumpCloud is seeking an enthusiastic instructional designer to join our Customer Education team. This team empowers users to grow their skills and maximize their success with JumpCloud by offering relevant and engaging learning experiences. This instructional designer will make IT administrators feel confident and eager to optimize their use of the JumpCloud platform through the design, development, and maintenance of outstanding educational content.

You work both collaboratively and independently to produce extraordinary learning experiences for users of all types. You are knowledgeable about adult learning principles and you enjoy applying them in creative and innovative ways. You use your resources to gather complex technical information and translate that into digestible learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop dynamic learning experiences that engage the learner and inspire participation.
Conduct needs analysis with stakeholders to pinpoint the appropriate learning solution(s).
Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to create new instructional content such as self-paced courses, tutorial videos, guided simulations, assessments, and other supporting materials.
Write concise yet powerful copies, text, and video scripts.
Stay connected with product and marketing teams to update existing instructional content when changes are made to the JumpCloud platform.
Support the development and maintenance of JumpCloud’s certification program.
Participate in setting quarterly goals, assessing current and future content needs, supporting new education initiatives, and driving the overall success of JumpCloud’s Customer Education program.
Requirements:
3+ years experience in instructional design
Proficiency with eLearning development tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Adobe, and Learning Management Systems
Portfolio showcasing examples of engaging self-paced learning opportunities, writing samples, and impacts to the overall objective(s)
Proven ability to build and maintain education curriculum for SaaS
Knowledge of adult learning theories and industry trends in scalable asynchronous learning environments
Ability to quickly understand technical products and effectively present technically complex information in terms that are easy to understand
Excellent verbal, written, and grammatical skills
Excellent project management, prioritization, and organizational skills; able to manage multiple activities simultaneously
Experience in graphic design, screencasting, and/or audio recording a plus

Where you’ll be working
We have two offices in Colorado, one in Louisville and one in downtown Denver. Once we reopen office options you will have the opportunity to work from one of our office locations, flex your time or remain fully remote (in the U.S.).

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate compensation range for this role is $64,000 to $85,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions. JumpCloud provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, short and long term disability, life insurance and 401k benefits. We have an unlimited vacation policy and also provide commuter benefits for employees in the Denver/Boulder, CO area.
