Job Description:
The Learning Solutions team (part of the JumpCloud Educational Services team) is looking for an agile, creative, and people-focused professional for an Instructional Designer position. We are looking for someone who is driven by a desire to help others grow, has a knack for solving problems, and who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. The Instructional Designer’s main goals will be to create asynchronous learning experiences for JumpCloud employees around the globe to help them “level up” their job skills. In this role, you will use your knowledge of design best practices, adult learning in a business context, and collaboration skills to create and implement learning and development programming to support our remote employees.
Does this sound like you? You are comfortable working in virtual environments (we are a remote-first company), using technology to collaborate and connect. You have excellent interpersonal skills and strong written communication skills, and you can break complex concepts into digestible pieces. You are a creative with a strong background in design principles and are comfortable using a variety of tools for course design, illustration and audio/video editing. You have experience with project management, having multiple projects going at once, and see things through to completion. You are good at building and maintaining solid cross-functional relationships with people in different departments, and you might even be familiar with SaaS or IT support. Instructional Design
- Create learning content in support of various developmental programs, including onboarding, leadership, professional development, skills assessments, and company-specific processes/tools
- Research content and/or collaborate with internal stakeholders and SMEs to define, document and develop the content sequence.
- Design infographics and visual aids to support learning goals
- Help to map out learning paths and build courses in our LMS
- Deploy surveys and track participation in Learning Solutions offerings for data analysis and program evaluation
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Instructional Design or successful completion of an Instructional Design, Education Technology or eLearning program
- Proficient in using technology to create and distribute learning content
- Proven knowledge of learning and development best practices, methods, and tools and a link to your awesome portfolio to back it up
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience working with SMEs
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual compensation range for this role, depending on individual candidate level and experience, is $85,000-$95,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions.

Where you’ll be working/Location:
JumpCloud is committed to being Remote First. If a role requires you to be in a certain location or country, that will be clearly stated in the job description. All roles posted in United States locations do require that you be located within one of the 50 U.S. States.
Our Headquarters is in the Denver/Boulder, CO area. Once we reopen our offices you will have the opportunity to remain fully remote, work from one of our office locations (CO only currently) or flex your time.
