About Caliper Holdings:

Caliper Holdings was founded in 2015 on the belief that cannabinoids, especially non-psychoactive compounds like CBD, represent a major new category in functional ingredients.

Today, Caliper Holdings encompasses three distinct business lines: (1) Caliper, a leading brand of soluble CBD-infused powders available nationwide; (2) Caliper Ingredients, a leading manufacturer of standardized, documented, application-specific cannabinoid solutions for quality-focused CPG companies; and (3) Ripple, a leading brand of marijuana edibles in Colorado (Michigan coming soon).

About the Job:

We are looking for a versatile mid-level Graphic Designer to support our company’s consumer and commercial brands and services. This person will assist the Art Director in creating all promotional material for the company (both D2C and B2B) over a wide range of projects, such as email campaigns, social posts and reels, in-house photo shoots, short videos and animations, digital ads, brochures, mailers, website collateral, one-pagers, swag, dispensary displays, large-scale event displays, and packaging.

First and foremost, you are an awesome graphic designer who is passionate about the field and growing a career within it. But having these additional skills will bump you to the top of the list:

  • Video editing skills
  • Motion graphic know-how
  • Lifestyle and brand photography
  • Web design capabilities
  • Social media literacy
  • Knowledge of the food & beverage and / or cannabinoid space

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Produce digital marketing material and press-ready files for print in short time frames
  • Uphold brand standards and consistently seek to elevate through visual storytelling
  • Take high-quality product photography using DSLR camera
  • Retouch photos for marketing materials and websites
  • Collaborate closely with brand director, art director, and marketing team members to ensure creative standards and goals are met
  • Be a pleasure to work with, reliable, enthusiastic, flexible, and receptive to feedback
  • Contribute to the overall development, maintenance, and awesomeness of the company’s websites—and if you think they’re not awesome, tell us why and make them shine

What we'll love about you:

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment with a consistently high volume of work and tight deadlines
  • You learn quickly, and can adapt to new brands and programs with ease
  • You’re ready to be a partner in design in an environment where your creative ideas are valued. We are looking for someone who can take direction AND direct themselves — someone who is hungry to contribute meaningfully and leave their mark on a brand.
  • You take ownership and pride in your design, with the ability to work within others’ design sensibilities as well as to trust your own
  • You enjoy working with others in a social team environment

What you'll love about us:

  • We are a company, not a cult. We expect you to put in an honest day’s work and then go home to your family. Fire drills are the exception, not the norm
  • We are a team of competent, motivated, diverse, and decent adults
  • We offer competitive compensation, 100% paid health benefits, sick leave, 401k, and a fun, relaxed office environment
  • We are a workplace of adults who value reasoned debate over political maneuvering. We try to do the right thing and, more importantly, we try to identify and admit when we don’t
  • We offer flexible PTO for all full-time employees. We too value health, relaxation, and spending time with friends and family

Qualifications:

  • BA in Graphic Design or related field
  • 3+ years of practical experience, ideally in house
  • Fluency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
  • Strong skill in information hierarchy and layout
  • Ability to assist with photo shoots and edit product photography
  • Entry-level knowledge of video production and motion graphics
  • Detail oriented, organized and efficient, able to progress multiple projects concurrently, and handle shifting priorities
  • Able to recognize workload and meter design to availability for projects, can produce quickly for tight deadlines and dig in deeper and iterate as time permits
  • Bonus: experience working at or closely with a CPG company

Compensation: $50-$70k/year
